This tool is focused on my site, but it takes you to www.freefind.com, the off-site provider of the tool. It reaches out to all the 16,000+ files I have on the site and searches the text therein. It's more likely to 'get a hit' on the titles / descriptions of the HTML pages, but it also reaches into the lyrics *.txt files for the lyrics. It does not seem to support 'phrase searching'. This means it's really good at finding obscure words like 'turtle soup' (from the Cole Porter tune 'At Long Last Love'), but if you plug in 'Love Me Do', you'll get 1500+ hits.
It's actually pretty quick, as the tool spent about 18 hours 'spidering my site' up front. Most searches come back in a few seconds.
I used to have a mailing list, but it was so long between updates that my list provider cut me off. Sorry.
